Research and innovation have a huge potential to improve the future. New technologies and ideas are responsible for much of the flourishing in the world today. Nevertheless, there seem to be significant ways to improve the value of research to humanity. One approach is to help researchers who are trying to make the world a better place through their work to identify and work on the most important research areas. Another is to address the systems which shape the allocation of resources in research to prioritise the most valuable targets and pursue effective differential technological development. This can be by improving funding, improving research discovery or use, or by improving the incentives researchers face.
Our work includes:
- Supporting researchers who are trying to do the most good they can.
- Understanding how to predict high-impact research outcomes.
- Understanding how to allocate funding to the most high-impact research.
